None of our products are tested on animals. None of our suppliers test on animals, nor do we use ingredients that require animal testing.

The presence of Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) in the EU formula of our Petal Fresh Pure Shampoo is a surfactant derived from natural coconut oil, and we use it for its excellent cleaning properties and its compatibility with a natural product ethos. While "sulfate-free" often refers to avoiding harsh sulfates like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), which can be more stripping to the hair, SCS is a milder option that aligns with our commitment to a high natural origin content.

We understand that the term "sulfate" can be concerning, so we take this opportunity to assure you that SCS is considered a safe and gentle alternative. It is widely accepted in the realm of natural cosmetics, especially in Europe where our natural percentage in the formula is at 98%. This ensures that while we do use a surfactant to achieve the desired cleansing effect, we do so without compromising our standards and the needs of our conscious consumers.
